"Somewhere
a dream that must come true
waits to be dreamed and fulfilled by you!"

Horses
are incredible, powerful animals. I feel blessed
to have a vocation in this field.
It took me years to learn what I know about horses and I am still learning
more, improving my techniques every day.
I
believe that horse training should be simplified:
-
You
should never get hurt.
-
Your
horse should never get hurt.
-
Your
horse should be calm at the end
of the training session.
Remember,
when you are working with a horse and you feel
that you could get hurt, don't ignore your feelings.
Stop and re-evaluate your training program. Your
safety is too important.
If
your horse is telling you that your equipment is
hurting him or it doesn't feel right, Stop! The
horse is telling you something. Horses can't concentrate
and work while in pain or fear.
And
at last, it is not a race! Take the time that it
takes to do the job; don't rush. Go with a flexible
plan that has steps and details. You can stop training
at any time as long as it ends on a positive note.
The horse should be calmer, more consistent, more
concentrated and more focused.
Take
the time that it takes because you
can always continue or start again later when you
have
finished
with the positive. A horse learns by "Consistency" and
REPETITION.
