HORSE TRAINING CLINIC AND DEMO

(PLANTAGENET / May 27 – June 1)

WITH JOSH LYONS

Josh Lyons is a world-renowned horse trainer and clinician who uses gentle and humane methods (http://www.Lyonslegacy.com/index.php). During his visit in Eastern Ontario, three main events will be presented by France Vanier, a certified trainer herself.

SYMPOSIUM (May 31^st and June 1^st) ($50 a day / $80 for two days / Half price 15 and under / Free 10 and under)

Josh will take a young horse which has never been saddled and take it for its first few rides; make a horse fearful of the trailer become comfortable with it; and demonstrate various reining techniques. Trainers and riders will have an opportunity to learn more about safe and humane ways of training a horse, but no matter the level of experience, everyone will enjoy the entertainment! Simultaneous translation to French will be available.

RIDER CLINIC (May 27, 28 and 29)

The clinic is designed for riders who want to improve their riding skills and learn how to deal with certain problems they experience with their horses. There are two ways to participate: Bringing your own horse ($850 – 8 places – SOLD OUT); or attending as an observer ($25 a day).

REINING DEMO AND BBQ SUPPER (May 30^th) ($50 - $25 under 12)

Josh will demonstrate some advanced manoeuvres and answer questions from the participants and show how to proceed. This will be followed by a BBQ supper (steak or chicken), with the country music band “Summer Bound”. Instructive and lots of fun!

ENTRAÎNER UN CHEVAL

Josh Lyons est un entraîneur de chevaux et un clinicien de réputation mondiale aux méthodes d’entrainement douces (http://www.Lyonslegacy.com/index.php). Lors de sa visite dans l’est ontarien, trois évènements sont présentés par France Vanier, elle-même un entraîneur certifé.

SYMPOSIUM (31 MAI ET 1 JUIN) ($50 par jour / $80 pour les deux jours / moitié prix 15 ans et moins / gratuit 10 ans et moins)

Josh va prendre un jeune cheval qui n’a jamais été sellé et le monter; amener un cheval qui a peur de la remorque à s’y sentir confortable; et démontrer des techniques de dressage. Entraîneurs et cavaliers seront intéressés à en apprendre davantage sur la façon d’entraîner un cheval de manière douce et sécuritaire mais peu importe le niveau d’expérience, tout le monde appréciera le spectacle!

CLINIQUE DE CAVALIER (27, 28 ET 29 MAI)

La clinique s’addresse aux cavaliers qui veulent améliorer leur technique de monte et apprendre comment faire face à certains problèmes qu’ils éprouvent avec leur cheval. On peut y participer de deux façons: En y allant avec son cheval ($850 – 8 places - COMPLET); ou en y assistant comme observateur ($25 par jour).

DÉMO DE “REINING” ET SOUPER BBQ (30 mai) ($50 - 12 ans et moins $25)

Josh effectuera certaines manoeuvres avancées et répondra aux questions des participants, démonstration à l’appui. Ceci sera suivi d’un souper BBQ (steak ou poulet) avec la musique du groupe country “Summer Bound”. Instructif et plaisir assuré!
